This is my simple setup I bought the lamp on Temu for about £12 it had to come by train from China and took about 5 weeks to get here in the UK, well worth the wait.

Looking at the laptop I use the Open Shell GUI (free) tool to take my PC's back to Windows 98 none of the 5 miles a fortnight stuff for me, my machines must work fast!

A bit closer to see more stuff the extension lead has a couple of USB sockets built in one for the lamp and the other to charge my old iPad 6 with IOS 17.7

The red box is the Behringer UCA222, because of the laptops's single use audio socket I had to buy this to get a line stereo input and output.

The iPad with Rob Jackson's app Pianoscaper  on the screen the output is connected to the UCA222 with two cables one stereo 3.5mm and the other 3.5mm to the two RCA connectors.

The laptop is showing Tracktion Waveform 13, the Vallhalla Super Massive VST plugin and a video with no sound. Enabling me to make the audio track whilst looking at the video. This is the one of the attributes of the Scaper series of apps, the other being that they are all very suitable for making ambient music. If indeed it is music! Brian Eno first heard it in a lift or was it an airport?
