Links to video artists whom I admire

Tyler Mason Mellins
After absconding from art school, helplessly frustrated with the oil and the brush, I sought a new canvas and eventually discovered the art of filmmaking. It was through experimentation with video and moving image that I finally found my voice. (An artist with a powerful imagination steeped in the history and practice of art, one of the few with an intuition for that which is right - Jem)

Rohesia Hamilton Metcalfe
She is an artist whose work in film, video and internet-based projects explores the pleasures of narrative uncertainty. Her work is both inspirational and thought provoking.

Shelly Silver
Is a New York based artist working with the still and moving image. Her work explores contested territories between public and private, narrative and documentary, and--increasingly in recent years--the watcher and the watched.

Margarita Stavraki
She participates actively in several international and Greek exhibitions, festivals and events, she collaborates with theatrical, dance and music groups which make use of new media and she also curates events based on video. She is co-member and curator of the Video Art Festival Miden, Kalamata, Greece.

Matthew Buckingham

Art with humour, the best way to make a point, especially about Sparrows.

Kathy Rose
I am constantly creating a pictorial female art persona, often with inspiration from the supernatural figures portrayed in Japanese theater and art.

Marisa C Hayes and Franck Boulegue
Body Cinema is a dance theatre company dedicated to the practice and research of interdisciplinary performance. The company’s founding director is Marisa C. Hayes (choreographer, video & performance artist), who created Body Cinema as a structure for her work with long time collaborator, Franck Boulègue (video, sound) in 2007.

Federico Malosti

I would like to speak personally about Federico who curated an exhibition in London for the Chelsea Fringe Festival and chose one of my videos. He couldn't have been more helpful in guiding me through the actual submission process.

Federico holds a Masters Degree in History of Art from Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He works as a museum guide at the Doge's Palace and at the Ca' Rezzonico Museum in Venice
